It’s time to put the sandals away and let the booties come out to play! These new blue velvet lace up booties have found themselves a very special spot in my fall shoe collection. These gems came from DSW and come in both blue and burgundy. These booties are so on trend right now with velvet making such a big presence in the fall/winter fashion scene. I paired them with my destroyed boyfriend cuffed jeans, a natural colored lightweight V-neck sweater, and oversized multi-colored fringe cardigan which is now on sale at American Eagle. This cozy sweater and velvet booties are the perfect way to conquer your Monday blues.
TRENDING NOW: Jackets with patches and following your dreams.
Since moving to New York City I have learned a lot about myself, and I have grown so much as a person. I came here to follow my dreams even when people doubted them. The road hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. I have learned who is in my corner and who isn’t; I have learned that I’m braver than I ever thought I was; and I have learned that the best is always yet to come. The best advice I have to offer you is to create a life you love, believe in your journey, and do it in style. Keep moving forward and never look back.
Follow those dreams in style. Patches are being seen everywhere-on jackets, shirts, and pants. This trend is my absolute favorite because it’s so fun searching for the right patches that fit with your personality and your likes! There are so many different kinds to choose from- lipstick, stars, words and phrases, foods, and so much more! The jacket I chose is from Forever 21 with the phrase “Never Look Back” on the back and four different patches on the front including a camo letter “R”, the words “Boys” and “Girl Gang,” and a broken heart (because I used to be a heartbreaker, duh! JK. Not really.). I paired it with a plain black tee so it wouldn’t steal all the glory away from the jacket, destroyed boyfriend jeans, and leopard print flats.
Is it me or do the weekends go by way too fast and the week goes by way too slow. This past weekend was full of low key fun. On Saturday, my handsome boyfriend treated me to date night at the movies where we saw The Girl on the Train since I finally finished reading the book! As always, the book was better than the movie, but still a good choice. Maybe next weekend we’ll go see Boo! A Madea’s Halloween to get into the Halloween spirit and for a few good laughs because who doesn’t love a Tyler Perry movie?! (I’m currently watching my fave Halloween movie as I write this- Hocus Pocus)! On Sunday, we participated in a little Sunday Funday of our own watching the Steeler’s game at Buffalo Wild Wings while stuffing our faces with greasy fried food and drinking Blue Moons.
For outings like these, I like to look put together, but still feel comfy, cozy, and casual. I wore black leggings (because I live in these things during the fall and winter) and a burnt orange sweater with cute little zip details at the hem on each side. I accessorized my look with a floral scarf and floppy hat. The weather is always changing this time of year so I brought along a black faux leather moto jacket when the temperature cools down at night.

Trending now: military chic. This look is casual, but with a hint of edge. This is my go-to outfit when I’m having one of my “I don’t have anything to wear” days. I paired a black lace up tee with a dark wash high-waist jean and paired it with a lightweight camo jacket. To complete the look, I wore black combat boots to keep the edge and a simple black choker (because the 90’s are soo making a comeback).
One of my favorite parts about fall is the opportunity to accessorize- welcome back hats, scarves, and booties! This season lets you play with long sleeve dresses and tights too! Neutrals and darker color palettes are essential- browns, navy, olives, mustards, and burgundy are now my go to! For my #OOTD, I wore a long-sleeve trapeze dress and completed my look with a neutral colored floppy hat, lightweight scarf, and chunky heel open-toed booties. Get my look from Forever 21.
My favorite season is finally here- no more worries about having that bikini bod-it’s sweater weather ladies so stuff down those carbs! Tis the season for pumpkin spice lattes, haunted hay rides, and layering! The cold weather gives us so many fashion options (unlike summer when you would rather walk around half naked than care about fashion because you start sweating in places you didn’t even know you could sweat).
My fall fashion look of the day was a plain black tee, the world’s softest flannel, and my new favorite patchwork high-waist jeggings. It’s all about the bottoms this season fashionistas! One of the hottest trends right now is the play on jeans- patchwork, frayed hems, and embroidery is totally in. Get my look at American Eagle.
